Sisterhood is Timeless

Sisterhood is Timeless. That’s never been more true than right now as we celebrate the 125th year of Zeta Tau Alpha, and it’s why that was the theme for the 2023 Day of Giving.

The fourth annual Day of Giving lasted for 1 day and 25 hours from Oct. 13 at 8 a.m. ET to Oct. 15 at 9 a.m. ET.

Thank you for your generous support of the ZTA Foundation!

HOW YOUR DONATIONS ADD UP

All gifts made on the Day of Giving are undesignated. Undesignated giving allows the Foundation to direct the funds to the most current and essential educational programming needs of our chapters and the financial needs of our members in the 2024-2025 academic year.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, your donations funded:

  • More than $1.25 million in scholarships to almost 400 recipients

During the 2020-2022 biennium, your donations also helped fund:

  • 732 visits to our chapters from 23 Leadership Consultants
  • Innovative leadership development at Officer Leadership Academy, Zeta Basics, Summer Leadership Academy and Convention

Your gift will also help us continue to Think Pink®️ and support breast cancer education and awareness, not just in October, but throughout the year. Your donations support our partnerships and have a direct impact on women in communities across the U.S.

  • To honor 30 years of our national philanthropy, the Foundation granted $500,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for a two-year research project looking for the "seeds" of the disease.
  • Through our partnership with the American Cancer Society, ZTA is the National Survivor Ambassador of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer®. At every Making Strides walk held in communities across the country, Zetas provide assistance with survivor recognition.
  • As the official fan outreach partner of the National Football League, ZTA alumnae and collegiate members have worked with all 32 NFL teams to spread the message of breast cancer awareness to almost 10 million football fans across the country.
  • Through our partnership with Bright Pink®, we educate and equip women to be proactive about their breast health.
  • ZTA members have distributed more than 25 million ZTA Think Pink® ribbons to generate breast cancer awareness, support breast cancer survivors and honor those who have lost their lives to the disease.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why do we have a Day of Giving?

The mission of the Foundation to support our collegiate and alumnae members through essential programming and scholarship assistance. Our mission is more relevant today than ever. Your gift to the Foundation allows us to continue to support our chapters and to be flexible to meet needs as they arise.

ZTA was founded on Oct. 15, 1898. What better day than Oct. 15 to celebrate all things ZTA?

How do I get involved?

There are many ways to participate in our Day of Giving! Keep an eye on your email inbox and ZTA social media for ways to contribute for 2023.

Will my donation count towards my annual and lifetime giving?

Of course! All donations apply to your total giving for the current fiscal year, ending July 31, 2024, and to your Lifetime Giving. Read more here about our Annual Giving Levels and Lifetime Giving Societies. You can see your Lifetime Giving amount by reviewing your profile on Sisters Only. Please allow 2 to 3 days for your donation to show in Sisters Only.

Can I designate my donation to an alumnae or collegiate chapter or to a specific scholarship?

Gifts given during Day of Giving are processed as undesignated so donations can be directed to essential programming and educational support this year and scholarships. Your gifts also help us continue to support our efforts with breast cancer education and awareness, not just in October, but throughout the year.

Donations for Day of Giving count towards individual giving only and cannot be credited to alumnae or collegiate chapter fundraising. Donations given on Oct. 13-15, 2023, for the Day of Giving cannot be designated.
